$200 donated to PreK-K Center from Burger King

Burger King’s new school spirit night program on the second Monday of the month raised $200 for the school district’s PreK-Kindergarten Center last week. The charity night goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with 10 percent of sales going to a school. It kicked off in March.

$1400 raised water safety classes

Last week the Baker County YMCA  sponsored the monthly veteran luncheon at Heritage Park and raised $1400 with a bake sale to benefit the Safety Around Water (SAW) program the following day. Y branch director Anna Lewis said the money raised March 6 will sponsor eight water safety lessons for a dozen children.
