Bobby J. Carroll, 61, of Macclenny died Friday, April 27, 2012. Mr. Carroll was a U.S. Army veteran who loved fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was employed at the Northeast Florida State Hospital for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Stella Greene Carroll.
Survivors include wife Madeline Carroll of Macclenny; sons Danny Lawson of Jacksonville and Michael Bruckner of Coleman, FL; daughters Amanda Roberts of Macclenny, Melyssa Carroll of California, Joyce Auger of Lawtey, Janet Lawson and Maggie Lawson, both of Jacksonville; brother Tom Walls of Sanderson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.The funeral service was held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 2 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Rev. Mitch Rhoden officiating. Forbes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
