Robert Allen Conner, 75, of Macclenny died November 5, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Waycross, GA on February 18, 1936 to the late Wash Allen Conner and Ruth Catherine Youmans Conner. Robert was a resident of Macclenny for 39 years after moving from Jacksonville in 1972. He was a 1955 Andrew Jackson High School graduate and a member of Spring Glen United Methodist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. Robert was also a member of Dawkins Masonic Lodge # 60 of Macclenny where he served as the longest serving secretary in the State of Florida.
Mr. Conner retired on December 1, 1995 from the Federal Reserve Bank after 40 years and he served his country for 10 years in the Air National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. He was a great handyman and an avid Gator fan.
Survivors include his loving wife Sandra S. Conner of Macclenny; children Pamela A. (Matthew) Corbin of Live Oak, Sheri L. (Bryan) Boulay and Keith P. (Sheree) Conner, both of Jacksonville; sister Ruth Geneice (Sammie) Peterson; granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Corbin; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, November 9 at 11:00 am at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel in Macclenny with Reverend Eric Burch officiating.
