Wide receiver Michael Boone set a new Baker County High School single game receiving record to help the Wildcats blow out the visiting Bradford Tornadoes 43-6 September 6 at Memorial Stadium.
Mr. Boone hauled in eight receptions for 211 yards to break former Wildcat Kendrick Singleton’s previous mark. The majority of his yards came on three huge touchdown passes of 67, 68 and 35 yards from quarterback Jacob Carter.
The defense was just as impressive in the game and shut down Bradford’s offense throughout the contest. The defense recorded multiple sacks and interceptions and kept the Tornadoes from mounting any kind of productive offense.
The Wildcats will look to continue their winning ways when they host Crescent City at Memorial Stadium September 13.
