George Eddie Crawford Jr., 36, of Bryceville died on May 9, 2012, the result of a tragic accident. He was preceded in death by his father George Eddie Crawford and paternal grandparents Leo Crawford and Hubert and Earnestine Sangster. Survivors include his son Dalton Crawford and daughters Morgan and Chastina; mother Peggy (Clarence) Deese; sister Heather Crawford (Everett); brother Eric Crawford; maternal grandparents Maggie Howell and Chuck (Cindy) Howell; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Thomas Edsel “Ed” Jones, 82, of Macclenny died May 11, 2012 of complications following a stroke. He was born Sept. 21, 1929, at Pine Top near Glen St. Mary to Dana Jerome Jones and Maude Fraser Jones. Ed was a 1949 graduate of the former Macclenny High School and earned a business degree from Massey Business College. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 35 years of service. He was an avid gardener.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents and son Thomas E. Jones Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Lee Morgan Jones, who faithfully cared for him during his declining health; son Joseph Michael Jones (Monica); daughters Jean Jones Cotchaleovitch (Tommy) and Lorrie Kay Jones; stepchildren Diane Clark (Rick) and J.J. Davis; brothers Dwight J. Jones and Wensel S. Jones; sister Carolyn Rose Adkins; 12 grandchildren and his 9 great-grandchildren.
Matthew Joseph Looby, 23, of Macclenny died the morning of Saturday, May 12, 2012. Born in Jacksonville on July 17, 1988, Matthew was an avid Florida Gator fan and loved both football and basketball, all types of music, his computer, eating out and trying new places. He enjoyed spending time with his younger brothers and sisters, who adored him.
Carolyn Elizabeth Martin, 67, of Macclenny died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born in Statesville, North Carolina to the late Everette and Mary Blackwelder Shaw and lived in Macclenny since 1988, having moved here from Jacksonville. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert J. Martin of Macclenny; sons Wendell E. Martin of Glen St. Mary, William (Tara) Martin of Sanderson and Robert B. (Jessica) Martin of Jacksonville; grandchildren Joshua E., Sarah Beth, Christopher, Dustin and Kierra; great-grandchildren, Jacob Eugene and Parker Sydney.
