Alleges ex-boyfriend ‘keyed’ her vehicle

A criminal complaint was filed September 25 against a Macclenny man for allegedly “keying” the side of a vehicle belonging to his ex-girlfriend while it was parked near the Starbucks on SR 228 south that morning.

EMS raises cancer funds

Baker County Emergency Medical Services, or EMS, recently raised nearly $750 for the fight against cancer by selling pink T-shirts ahead of breast cancer awareness month in October.

Paramedics Bill Lowery and Monica Lundquist organized the fundraiser, which began the second week of September. Both have seen several family and friends suffer from the disease, including Ms. Lundquist’s birth mother, who died from melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer.
