Suspect is sought for CC fraud

The sheriff’s department received two complaints involving credit card fraud recently, including one from a Jacksonville man whose identification was used to purchase a $329 iPad from Walmart.

Trio impeded arrest

The sheriff’s department arrested two persons and filed a criminal complaint against a third one for attempting to block officers’ entry after they spotted a man wanted on a warrant inside a south Macclenny apartment.

Prison for probation offense

A chronic drug offender was sent back to prison on July 23 after she was found in violation of probation imposed in February, 2013.

Court records show that Angel Marie Rhoden, 29, of Macclenny was arrested in an Orange Park motel two months later for possession of cocaine and paraphernalia, and for initially giving Clay County police a false name. Ms. Rhoden has a past history of narcotics-related offenses and probation violation, and served an earlier term in prison.
