Inez Lundquist

Inez Lundquist of Glen St. Mary died on May 17, 2012. She is survived by husband David Leslie and children Jan and Dana Lundquist, and Cindy Coleman, all of Glen; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on May 21 at the First United Methodist Church in Macclenny.

Emily Raulerson, native of Moniac

Emily Raulerson, 89, of Macclenny died May 18, 2012. She was born in Moniac, GA to the late Hardy Raulerson and Rachel Mixon Raulerson on November 17, 1922. She was a lifelong resident of Baker County and a charter member of the Christian Fellowship Temple. Emily loved to crochet, cook for her family and friends, gardening and listening to recorded church sermons. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years Fred Raulerson and son George Albert Raulerson.

Mrs. Raulerson is survived by daughters Rachel Harris (Wyman) of Raiford, Mary Raulerson-Harper (Jim Adkins) of Jacksonville and Debbie Vazquez (Johnny) of Fort Lauderdale; son Freddie Raulerson (Belinda) of Glen St. Mary;  daughter-in-law Gina Raulerson of Naples, FL; sister Aline Davis of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren and nine-great grandchildren.

Joseph ‘Joe’ Rhoden funeral Wednesday

Joseph “Joe” Rhoden, 87, of Macclenny died Sunday, May 20 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville following an extended illness. He had resided in Baker County and Macclenny all his life. He was the son of the late Riley Rhoden and Nettie Johns Rhoden, and was married to his late wife Aline for 62 years. He worked for Florida Power and Light and retired as an office supervisor after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Macclenny Church of God, an Army veteran of World War II, a former Baker County commissioner, a member of the IBEW union for 60 years, and loved to deer and turkey hunt with his family.

Mr. Rhoden is survived by children Riley (Kathy) Rhoden of Macclenny, Angie (Harold) Griffis of Glen St. Mary, Jody (Lisa) Rhoden of Tampa and Dan (Kathy) Rhoden of Leesburg; sister Violet “Boggie” Rhoden of Macclenny; seven grandchildren and ten great-grand­children.
