Monroe Gray, 65, of Pomona Park

Monroe Alvin Gray, 65, of Pomona Park, Florida died Thursday, April 12 at Shands at University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville following a brief illness. He was a native of Jacksonville and resided in Baldwin before moving to Pomona Park, 20 years ago. He was a boilermaker in the construction industry for 35 years until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Gray.

Survivors include wife Vivian L. Gray of Pomona Park: children Felicity Crawford of Jacksonville, Anthony M. (Jennifer) Gray of Macclenny, Joseph (Sandra) Gary of Glen St. Mary, Jeremy Hars and Joshua D. Hars, both of Ocala; mother Edith Davis (John) Young of Lake City: sister Martha Gray of Lake City: brothers Joe Gray II of Providence, FL and Tim (Gwen) Gray of Sanderson: 14 grandchildren.

Rodney Davis, 35, of Sanderson

Rodney Scott Davis Sr., 36, of Sanderson died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 after an extended illness. He was born August 8, 1975 to Rita Davis of Sanderson and Terrell Godwin of Taylor. He was a lifelong resident of Baker County and a member of Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church of Sanderson. He was a member of Millwright Local Union #2411 of Jacksonville for 10 years and the Masonic Lodge #122 of Sanderson.

Mr. Davis was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to church, hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing church volleyball and participating in Baker County Little League. He was preceded in death by his beloved Papa, Bud Davis of Sanderson and his grandfather Carl Godwin of Taylor.

Charlie Burnham, 81, of Hilliard dies

Charlie Burnham, 81, of Hilliard died Monday, January 16, 2012. He was born in Bonafay, FL to the late Charlton and Mary Burnham on November 19, 1930 and was a longtime resident of Baker County where many of his survivors currently reside. Charlie was employed with the Florida DOT where he retired after 30 years of service. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Burnham was preceded in death by¬† daughter Carolyn Burnham Brant–ley.

Survivors include wife Betty Burnham; sons Charles (Vickie) Burnham and David (Verona) Burnham; daughters Angie (Bob) Dungan and Patti (Alan) Huntley; grandchildren Chris (Pam) Burnham, CW Burnham, Dylan Burnham, Jackie (Ray) Rowland, Samantha Brantley, David Burnham Jr., Trista (Gee) McKenzie, Kristian Burnham, and Calon Mausolo; great-grandchildren Emily and Isabella Burnham and Peyton McKenzie; several nieces and nephews.

Roy Coleman, 69, of Baldwin

Roy Edmond Coleman Sr., 69, of Baldwin died January 9, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1942 to the late Sylvester Coleman and the former Mamie Lou Wilkes. He retired from CSX and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife of 44 years Frances Coleman; sons Alvin (Penny) Branch, Aaron Branch and Roy Coleman Jr; daughters Denese (Donnie) Harv–ley and Darlyn (Philip) Schweckendieck; grandchildren Nicki, Trea, Aaron, Grace, Angela, Nathan, Joshua, Justin, Joseph, Jacob, Kaylobe and Ashley; numerous friends and family.
