USFS shuts down Ocean Pond

The road into west Baker County’s popular Ocean Pond recreation area was blocked early this week by the US Forest Service, part of a nationwide shutdown of federally managed parks as “non-essential” for the duration of the budget stalemate between Congress and President Obama.
