Doyle Hardenbrook, 45, dies January 28

Doyle Clayton Hardenbrook, 45, a lifelong resident of Macclenny, died on January 28, 2013. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 19, 1967 to Gwendolyn Bennett Walls and the late Carl Hardenbrook. Doyle worked in construction and land development for many years, and enjoyed doing anything a country boy would like to do. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister Fonda Gail Campbell.

Michael Swindell, 60, of Macclenny

Michael Raymond Swindell Sr, 60, of Macclenny died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. A lifelong resident of Baker County, he was an auto mechanic who loved his work. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Swindell is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Swindell; sons Michael (Flora) Swindell Jr. of Sanderson, Jay (Tommie Sue) Swindell of Glen St. Mary, Josh (Cheryl) Swindell of Taylor and Marcus Swindell of Macclenny; daughter Rebecca Swindell (Mark Knight) of Macclenny; brothers Larry Swindell of St. George, GA, Bruce Swindell of Taylor, Dariel (Dee-Dee) Swindell of Glen St. Mary, and Randy (Katherine) Swindell of Taylor; sister Bonnie (Eugene) Lindsey of Sanderson; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by parents John and Joyce Combs Swindell.

Curtis Stoutamire, 50, dies January 16

Curtis N. Stoutamire, 50, of Hattiesburg, MS died at his home on January 16, 2013. He was born in Glen St. Mary the third of seven children to Elder Curties and Flossie Stoutamire Sr.

He graduated from Baker County High School in 1980 and posthumously received a bachelor of theology degree from Higher Calling Bible College and Theological Seminary in Hattiesburg. He served 24 years in the U.S. Army and retired in October, 2004 as a sergeant first class. Mr. Stoutamire was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until his death and was the vice president  of the NALC local union in Hattiesburg.

Henry Griffin Jr., 61, of Olustee dies

Henry L. Griffin Jr., 61, of Olustee died on January 29, 2013 following a lingering illness.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his loving  children Wiljeania Turner (Raymond) of Lake City, Latina Griffin of White Springs, Tileta Griffin of Norcross, GA, Hendrix Taylor and Robert Wilson (Lynette) of Lake City, Dejuan Griffin of Baldwin, Henry Griffin III of Lake City, Willie, Genard, and Brian Perry of Starke; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Wilhelmina Coleman (Hybitha) of Hillside, FL, Betty Jean Griffin of Maywood, IL and Olivette Griffin (Venard) of Lake City; nephews, nieces and other family members.
