Jim Wilk, 68, dies January 10

James “Jim” Harrison Wilk, Sr., 68, of Macclenny died on January 10, 2014. He was born in Jacksonville on September 17, 1945 to the late Edward Joseph Wilk and Mary McCleod Wilk. He had been a resident of Macclenny since 2005 after moving from Mandarin, Florida.  Jim and his brother John were co-owners and operators of the family business, Wilk Forwarding Company, which their father founded.

An 11-year-old Macclenny girl reported seeing a man holding a gun who asked her to come towards him the afternoon of January 10, but police later determined the suspect was attempting to sell peanuts in the neighborhood.
