Two Copper Creek homeowners went before Macclenny’s Zoning Adjustment Board on the evening of July 15 seeking variances to setback requirements, including one who wanted to have a structure built on his property line, and both left satisfied.
The five-member board granted both requests, one allowing James Bennett to have an in-ground pool installed behind his house at 1109 Copper Field Circle and the other permitting Randy Smith to build a carport-type storage structure attached to his house at 1305 Copper Creek Drive.

Several residents from the neighborhood drove home that point to the Macclenny Commission the evening of July 9 during a public hearing to consider annexing and rezoning a 6-acre parcel for industrial use by a local road construction firm.
