Share Norman Lee Thompson, 65, of Macclenny died at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia on January 20, 2013 following an extended illness. He was born in Starke to the late Charles Cooper Thompson and Lola Conway Combs and lived in Baker County all his life. Mr. Thompson was a US Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam. He gave his life to the Lord two years ago at Taylor Church. He is survived by son Devin S. (Reina) Thompson of Macclenny; daughters Kayla and Myriam Thompson, both of West Virginia; eight grandchildren; sister Sheila Thompson Griner of Glen St. Mary; brother Stephen (Marsha) Thompson of Sanderson. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 3 at Taylor Church with Rev. Mark Woods officiating. Guerry Funeral Home of Macclenny was in charge of local arrangements. |
