Rosemary Motherwell, 68, of Sanderson died on Tuesday, October 16 at the Acosta-Rua Center for Caring in Jacksonville after an extended illness. She was a native of Memphis, TN and resided in Green Cove Springs before moving to Sanderson in 1994. Mrs. Motherwell was a manager at several McDonald’s restaurants until her retirement after 29 years of service. She was a poll worker at the Baxter precinct and enjoyed reading and cleaning houses, both her own and those of family.

She was the widow of John Arthur Motherwell and is survived by daughter Roseanne (Chuck) Austin of Green Cove Springs; son Robert (Brenda) Allen of St. Augustine; grandchildren Amada Allen and Emily Allen; siblings Bobbie, Sue and Johnny; close friend Jessie Harvey.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 19 at North Prong Cemetery with Rev. Billy Worthington, pastor of Cuyler Baptist Church, officiating. A visitation will be held  from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 18 at Guerry Funeral Home in Macclenny.
