4-H summer camps

It’s time for parents to register their children for upcoming summer camps, including several sponsored by the Baker County 4-H. Registration is now online for the following:

Space Explorers Camp June 9-11 for ages 10-14. See space from many viewpoints, including visits to the planetarium and Kennedy Space Center. Cost $65 and registration deadline is June 2.

Nemours children’s health system has named Rodney McKendree of Macclenny to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He has served Nemours in various capacities in finance and administration for 15 years, joining its executive team in 2006.

April 13th vows

Jimmy and Peggy Johns of Macclenny are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of daughter Kathryn “Katie” Marie to Torry Jocham Williams, the son of Billy and Jane Williams of Sanderson.

Katie is a 2009 graduate of Baker County High School and attended Florida State College at Jacksonville, graduating with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Jocham is a 2008 graduate of Baker County High School, and graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad as a track supervisor in Fort Valley, GA.

The couple will wed on April 13 at Nocatee Crosswater Hall in Ponte Vedra.
