Touchdown club season Jamboree

The Baker County Touchdown Club, a youth football and cheerleading league, opened its 2013 season the morning of September 7 at Memorial Stadium with a full-slate of games. Some 400 kids participated in opening day, which began at 9 am Saturday and featured nine games followed by two more Monday night.

Cat swimmers finish second at opener

The BCHS swim team had its first away meet of the season September 3 when the swimmers traveled to Fernandina Beach for a meet that also included Yulee and West Nassau.

Gator offense still a question mark

The University of Florida’s 21-16 loss to the Miami Hurricanes was not a fun one to watch. Neither team looked like it wanted to win the heated in-state rivalry. The only reason Miami won was because of how dedicated the Gators were to losing the game.
