Nonprofit donating car safety seats here

The health department’s supply of car safety seats for children from low-income famillies dried up in recent years after grant funding from the state ended. But demand for the car seats, long provided by the department on West Lowder Street, has not abated, leaving public health officials scrambling to get the few seats they have to the families who need them most.
