Mary Wilson, 69, of Bryceville

Mary Ann Wilson, 69, of Bryce­­ville died April 16, 2012. She was born in Decatur, Alabama to the late Covell and Lavisa Wade Keenum on July 17, 1942. She was a resident of Decatur and Jacksonville most of her life and attended Whitehouse Full Gospel church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she often spent time telling others of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bingo at the nursing home.

Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her siblings Susan and Robert and grandson Michael Wilson Jr.

Helen Taylor, 85, of Baker County

Helen Juanita Taylor, 85, of Baker County died April 15, 2012. She was born April 17, 1926 to the late Lloyd and Daisy Harvey. She previously lived in Orlando and Middleburg where she was in home health care before moving back to Baker County. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Taylor of Baker County, infant daughter Rebecca Denise Taylor, her brother Virgil Harvey and sister Hazel Taylor.

Survivors include sons Danny (Peggy) Taylor and Darrell Taylor (Lori); daughters Darlene (Jim) Anderson, Delane Sanders and Deloris (Larry) Orr; brother Vernon Harvey of Sanderson; sisters Margie Davis of Sanderson and Jeanette Richards of Jacksonville. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life. Juanita had many friends and acquaintances she met over the years and she never forgot them, especially Billie Driggers of Orlando, who never failed to call her and stay in touch. The family appreciates the dedication, friendship and thoughts.

James Smith, 48, of Macclenny

James Lee “Jamie” Smith, 48, of Macclenny died Thursday, April 12, at St. Vincents Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Lakeland and lived in Auburndale, FL before moving to Macclenny in 1970. He was a salesman with Badcock Home Furnishing Center for many years until 2001.

He then worked with Hagan Ace Hardware and was a rental property manager until his death. He was a member of the Macclenny Church of Christ, a devoted stay-at-home father and enjoyed guitar and other music. He was preceded in death by his father James C. “Smitty” Smith and mother-in-law Dotsy McPherson.

Brenda Rhoden, 52, of Sanderson

Brenda Faye Canady Rhoden, 52, of Sanderson died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital in Macclenny. She was born in Macclenny and resided in Baker County all of her life. She worked as a care giver for numerous families for many years.

Ms. Rhoden attended Pine Level Church in Baxter. She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Lossie Raulerson Canady, sister Wendy Gale Canady, brothers John Rodney Canady and Ronald Jeffery Canady II.
