Gravesite rites for Infant Jackson

Infant Nathan Neil Crews-Jackson of Glen St. Mary died  on Saturday November 3, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He was predeceased by maternal great-grandfather Neil Crews and paternal great-grandfather William Jefferson Morgan.

His parents are Dalton Boyd Jackson and Whitley Elizabeth Crews; maternal grandparents Jimmie and Shelly Crews of Macclenny; paternal grandparents James Craig and Nancy Lee Jackson of Glen St. Mary; maternal great-grandmother Sissie Crews of Macclenny; maternal great-grandparents Marsha and Donald Keene; parental great grandparents, Sylvia Polk, James Larry Jackson, Judy (Keith) Parker; maternal great-great grandmothers, Mavis Sigers and Jeanette Wilkerson; paternal great-great-grandmother Eloise Davis Morgan; paternal great- great-great grandfather James Lloyd Jackson.

A graveside service was conducted on Wednesday November 7 at 2 pm in Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Gary Crummey officiating. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Rosa Rollins Jones

Rosa Rollins Jones, 68, of Crescent City, FL died on November 4, 2012 at her residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday, November 10 at Johnson Temple in Crescent City with Tommy Rollins delivering the eulogy.

Interment will be at the Seville Cemetery in Seville, FL. E.W. Lawson and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alvin (Jack) Smith dies November 6th

Alvin Jackson “Jack” Smith Jr., 57, of Lawtey died on November 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Tallahassee on July 17, 1955 to the late Alvin Jackson Smith Sr. and Edith Catherine Hansford Smith. Jack had been a resident of Lawtey for the past 17 years. He attended Terry Parker High School and was a project manager. He was an avid Gator and Dallas Cowboy fan who also enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with wood, building toys, telling stories and being a magician.

Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 17 years, Christine Waters Smith and his brother Clarence Smith.

Janette Westfall, 67, of Macclenny

Janette Lucille Mange Westfall, 67, of Macclenny died on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Westfall on February 17, 2010. She is survived by daughters Debbie Wilkes (Steve), Denise Bookout, Dena Roberts (Derrick); brother Lee Mange (Jeanne); nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lucille devoted her life to her family and friends and gave freely of herself to all she met. She will be deeply missed.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, Nov. 10 in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, Nov. 9 at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or the American Cancer Society.
