Hoyle A. Shields Jr., 94, of Macclenny died on September 10, 2013. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and served in the U.S. Navy from 1939 to 1960 when he retired as a chief petty officer. Mr. Shields loved his country and loved the Lord with his whole heart.

Thomas A. Roy, 74, of Jacksonville died peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2013 after a long illness. He was born August 9, 1939 to the late John and Margaret Kronenberger Roy. He became a resident of Jacksonville after moving from New York in 1978. He enjoyed watching western movies and in his younger years loved country line dancing. He is predeceased by his sister Margaret Potts and brother Eugene Roy.
Faye Mann Nettles, 79, a lifelong resident of Sanderson, died on September 5, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born in Sanderson on June 13, 1934 to the late Thomas Orson Mann and Eva Raulerson Mann. Faye was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Macclenny and spent her entire life taking care of others and raising her children as a homemaker.
Lucidenia Hernandez Cintron, 84, of Macclenny, died on September 3, 2013 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center. Lucidenia was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on April 2, 1929 to the late Domingo Hernandez and Tomasa Nieves Hernandez and raised in Puerto Rico. Lucidenia was a resident of New York for 17 years, Maine for a few years, and most recently she resided in Florida.
