Lonzie tip last week produces no remains, mother arrested this week

The search for missing toddler Lonzie Barton brought authorities to Baker County last week, but the tip from an unofficial search group connected to the boy’s paternal grandmother on Steel Bridge Road turned up nothing.

Then this week, his mother was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on child neglect charges. Police said Lonna Lauramore Barton was uncooperative during the early part of the investigation into her missing son. Read More »
