Zoning board’s vote on liquor store was invalid

Two decisions by the Macclenny Zoning Adjustment Board on February 3, including the denial of a business owner’s request for rezoning to permit the sale of liquor, were invalid and new hearings will have to be scheduled to consider the requests again.

Laid in path of a train

Cops-railroad CloughA Glen St. Mary man was arrested on February 7, three days after he allegedly laid down on the CSX tracks in the path of an approaching freight train and jumped out of the way 40 yards ahead of it.
