Fall pumpkin patch opens Friday

More than 1700 pumpkins from New Mexico arrived at the United Methodist Church pumpkin patch in Macclenny the afternoon of October 7 as volunteers from the church and the high school’s JROTC program unloaded the tractor trailer and began setting up the annual display.

“It’s the most we’ve ever gotten,” said the church’s Toni Bunch, who organized the effort this year. It’s also the third year that JROTC has helped set up the patch, for which Ms. Bunch was very grateful.
