First health department 5K draws 90+ to Memorial Park

More than 90 runners and walkers, including the Wildcat cross country team and its coach Pam Robinson, participated in the inaugural Heart for Health 5K fun run sponsored by the Baker County Health Department the morning of September 26 at Macclenny’s Memorial Park. Attendees lined up on the looping sidewalk that runs through the park off West Boulevard for the 9 a.m. start. Finishing first was the cross country team’s Sheldon Griffis. Fair competition entries sought starting Sept. 29

The Baker County Fair is quickly approaching and that means it is now time to gather your entries to display. Whether new to showing at the fair or experienced, there are plenty of opportunities to show your talents in the horticulture showcase, home arts exhibit, and even the table setting competition. Plus, all exhibitors will receive a free entry pass into the fair. The Baker County Fair will begin on Friday, October 2 and runs through Saturday, October 10. Read More »
