Jowers is third grade spelling champion

Camdyn Jowers (center) won Macclenny Elementary’s third grade spelling bee recently. She is from Becky Crews’ class and pictured with principal Debbie Fraser and Kinita Bishop, the bee’s moderator. The bee took place on May 27 with 22 participants, two from each of the school’s 11 classrooms.

Wins second straight Jump Rope for Heart

Macclenny Elementary third grader Hunter Rhoden (right) raised more money for the American Heart Association than any other student at the school for the second year in a row as part of the association’s annual Jump Rope for Heart campaign last February. Read More »
