Freshman ‘Hurt the Hornets’ float voted best of parade

IMG_3760The homecoming float of Baker County High School’s Class of 2018 won best of the parade honors in the annual homecoming voting by students at the Glen St. Mary campus last week.

The “Hurt the Hornets” themed float featured plenty of students clad in hornet costumes with casts, arm slings and the like as well as other students dressed as nurses and doctors performing CPR on injured hornets. Trailing the float was a faux ambulance. A hornet on a gurney (above) waved to the crowds lining both sides of U.S. 90 for the homecoming parade the afternoon of October 16. Read More »

Homecoming court announced at BCHS

Last week students at Baker County High School voted for this year’s homecoming court, with the announcement of winners coming for the boys the morning of September 25, and then the girls later that afternoon at the pep rally pictured above. Read More »
