Students and staff at Mamie Agnes Jones Elementary in Baldwin observed February’s Black History Month recently.
Pictured from the activities are school librarian Teresa Bright reading to students in Vicki Walls’ first grade class Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt by Deborah Hopkinson. That was followed by an art lesson on quilting patterns. Each class had activities for the observance, including watching videos and discussing black history.
