Faculty treated to chocolate fountain

Brad Smith’s fourth grade class at Keller Intermediate School was awarded 30 Kindle Fire HDXs, worth more than $11,000, when it beat out more than 12,000 other classes across the U.S. and Canada to win TenMarks.com’s Math Madness competition.

FFA team finishes 4th in UF ag sales contest

This team from the Baker County High School chapter of the FFA finished fourth of 19 teams competing in the state ag sales contest at the University of Florida in April. This was a newly formed group of students consisting of (front, l-r) Bethany Richardson, Jessica Harrell, sponsor Greg Johnson, (back, l-r) Hunter Burnsed, Alex Register and Garrett Stavely.

The team completed a written exam of material used in college-level ag sales classes, and in 20-minute individual sales calls and a 15-minute group sales presentation.

Kubota tractors and implements furnished courtesy of Joey Smith of Macclenny Equipment were used for the presentations. The team will be recognized at the FFA state convention in June.
