BCHS Perspective: Leggings in, tardiness out at high school

The Press welcomed Baker County High School senior Hannah Rodgers as a columnist this week. The Macclenny resident has experience writing and taking photos for the high school yearbook and hopes to study science at the University of Florida. She holds a 4.0 GPA, is the likely valedictorian of her class and was named BCHS’ Sunshine State Scholar as a junior last year. Ms. Rodgers will be reporting on the happenings and issues on the Baker High campus. She penned her first column on what is new and different on campus this school year. Keller faculty unveils plan to rejuvenate D-school

A new plan to improve the learning environment and student academic performance at Keller Intermediate School, which currently holds a D-grade from the State Board of Education, was adopted by the Baker County School Board Monday night. Read More »

BCHS graduation rate up, school grade down

Baker County High School upped its graduation rate more than three points to 75.2 percent this year, but thanks to the state raising the bar for high school grades, it dropped from a B-school to the C-school. Read More »
