Terry Brown’s days as chief counsel to the Baker County Commission may be numbered, depending on the outcome of additional medical testing over the coming weeks.
Mr. Brown, longtime county attorney who also maintains a private practice in Starke, recently experienced what was described as another minor stroke and is in the process of selling the practice to former law partner Ron Sholes, who has offices in Starke, Jacksonville and Orange Park.
This group of youths from Mt. Zion Church in Macclenny raised $5000 on May 3 for Heather Nipper, a Baker County girl scheduled for stem cell treatment in Thailand for a sight disorder that blinded her since birth.
The group was locked up for 12 hours from 8 pm and spent the night with hourly prayer devotion and games, raising the money via pledges.
