Fletcher Gainey, famed knife maker

gaineyFletcher Asbury Gainey Sr., 66, of Baxter died with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Acosta-Rua Center for Caring in Jacksonville following an extended illness. Fletcher was born in Jacksonville. He spent most summers in his younger years in Moniac, Ga. with loving family. His love of this area brought him back to Baker County after he retired. A Baker County native, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved his hunting dogs. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
