Jack Rhoden, 55, died on March 29, 2013 after a lengthy illness at his cabin home in Del Rio, Tennessee in his beloved Smoky Mountains. He was a Baker County native and the son of the late Dorothy M. Rhoden and the late Fletcher Rhoden of Macclenny.

He is survived by daughter Brandi Brown and son Jack Brady (Brad) Rhoden Jr., both of Macclenny; granddaughter Sydney Brown; grandsons Derek Brown and Mason Rhoden; the love of his life and fiancée Vicki Watson of Baldwin; sister Kimberly Lindsey (John) of Branford; brothers Jamie Rhoden (Jane) of Macclenny and Steve Rhoden (Sandra) of Houston Texas; nieces Krystal Rhoden of Macclenny, Stephanie Wilson (Todd) of Biloxi, Mississippi, Candace Naughton (Tim) of Branford;  nephews Christopher Rhoden (Kristin) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tyler Rhoden (Nicole) of Nashville, Tennessee and Aaron Lindsey (Arika) of Tallahassee.

D.W. Robinson, 87, of Baldwin died on March 20, 2013. He was born on November 7, 1925 to the late Ervin and Maggie (Heaton) Robinson and was a foreman at Farnell’s Dairy, owned Robinson’s service station, was the Baldwin fire chief from 1976-1980 and a captain and assistant chief of police from 1972-1981. Most recently, Mr. Robinson retired from Walmart after 25 years. He attended Temple Baptist Church.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by daughter Brenda Dale Robinson and his wife of 63 years, Sarah Lee Oliver Robinson. He is survived by daughters Mildred (Dub) Cobb, Judy (Jim) Harper, Wanda Robinson and Roxanne (Chuck) Spitzer; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; sister Betty Payne.

Marvin Norman,  71, a native and lifelong resident of Macclenny, died on April 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 8, 1941 to the late William Norman and Lillie Mae Raulerson Norman. Marvin retired from Northeast Florida State Hospital in June of 1987 after 25 dedicated years of employment as a plumber. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed watching wrestling. He was a wonderful father who was family-oriented and always smiling. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother W.H. Norman.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dianne Norman of Macclenny; children Glenda Thomas, Tony (Susie) Norman and Angela Simpson, all of Macclenny; brothers James and Leonard Norman   of Macclenny; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Karen Bracewell, 77, of Jacksonville died on Sunday, March 31 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Moniac, Georgia and resided in Jacksonville for over 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Canadir and Pearl Burnsed Canaday, and was a machine operator with Kraft Paper Company in Yulee for many years. She was a member of the Moniac Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband H. C. Bracewell of Jacksonville; daughters Diane (Don) Wallace of Jacksonville and Sandra (Timmy) Canaday of Moniac; sons Michael (Cathy) Bracewell of Baldwin and Keith (Janet) Bracewell of Jacksonville; sister Irene Taylor of Moniac; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
