IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TOWN

The Town of Baldwin Proposes to Construct Reclaimed Water Piping from Wastewater Treatment Plant to JEA’s Brandy Branch Facility

Subject to an Administrative Order issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), the Town of Baldwin must eliminate the Town Wastewater Plant’s surface water discharge by October 2017.  The Town intends to reroute this treated effluent as reclaimed water from the Plant to JEA’s Brandy Branch Facility along US-90 for use as cooling water.  The Town has received financial assistance from the FDEP under the State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program.

Any resident who is interested in obtaining more information or has any questions regarding the proposed effluent disposal project should plan to attend a Public Hearing on the proposed project scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2014 @ 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
