TRANSPORTATION CENTER CONSTRUCTION

The Baker County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for the construction of the Baker County Transportation Center. Bids will be accepted until 3:00pm on May 2, 2014. Bid prices will be held for 90 days.

The project located on the vacant 10 acre site located at Willis Hodges Rd. and Buck Starling Rd. It will consist of construction of an approximately 10,000 s.f. administration building, a two bay maintenance garage, bus wash rack and refueling station. The site preparation is a separate contract and collaboration with the selected contractor will be required.

Bids are to be submitted to the Baker County Board of Commissioners, 55 N. 3rd St, Macclenny, FL 32063 on or before the aforementioned date and time. Submittals should be marked “Baker County Transportation Center – Construction Bid” on the outside of the proposal. Late bids will not be accepted or opened. Bids will be opened publicly on May 5, 2014 at 9:00am in the Baker County Administration Building conference room at 55 N. 3rd St, Macclenny, FL 32063.

Bidding documents in the form of electronic files in .pdf format will be available at www.bakercountyfl.org/transportationcenter. No printed copies will be provided.

SITE PREPARATION FOR BAKER COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION CENTER

The Baker County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for the site preparation of the Baker County Transportation Center. Bids will be accepted until 3:00pm on April 25, 2014. Bid prices will be held for 90 days.

The project located on the vacant 10 acre site located at Willis Hodges Rd. and Buck Starling Rd. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: clearing and grubbing; earth and rock excavation; formation of subgrade; formation of drainage swales; grading; compacting; loaming and seeding; erosion and sediment control measures; construction layout; and maintenance and protection of on-site traffic.

Bids are to be submitted to the Baker County Board of Commissioners, 55 N. 3rd St, Macclenny, FL 32063 on or before the aforementioned date and time. Submittals should be marked “Baker County Transportation Center – Site Preparation Bid” on the outside of the proposal. Late bids will not be accepted or opened. Bids will be opened publicly on April 28, 2014 at 9:00am in the Baker County Administration Building conference room at 55 N. 3rd St, Macclenny, FL 32063.

Bidding documents in the form of electronic files in .pdf format will be available at www.bakercountyfl.org/transportationcenter. No printed copies will be provided.

All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to CJ Thompson, County Manager at cj.thompson@bakercountyfl.org or 55 N. 3rd St, Macclenny, FL 32063, and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the submittal date. All questions and responses will be posted online.

The Baker County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the County.
