PreK-Kindergarten Center ‘pow-wow’

The Baker County High School’s History Club attempted to help students at the Prek-Kindergarten Center sample Native American culture on November 21, seven days before Thanksgiving.

The children learned how American Indians lived in teepees while hunting and gathering their food for survival. The history club’s students led the kids in a number of holiday-themed dances like “Turkey Time” and “Turkey in My Belly.” The youths also posed for pictures with the teens (shown above), who donned clothing and makeup in an attempt to resemble American Indians.
