A 20-year-old Macclenny man is charged with battery on another man at the Baker Manor Apartments on South 6th St. the evening of October 14 and criminal mischief for destroying a side mirror on a vehicle belonging to his victim’s mother.

Leon Hart, 83, dies October 16, a retired trucker

Leon D. Hart, 83, of Jacksonville and formerly of Interlachen, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Mr. Hart was a retired truck driver who enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan who loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Varsity Cat volleyball team finishes at 9-14

The BCHS volleyball program closed out its 2013 regular season with the varsity team splitting its final two games to move to 9-14 on the year.
