Makes President’s List

Sean Ward of Macclenny has been named to the President’s List at The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville.

To make the list, students must maintain a 4.0 grade point average (straight A).

Sean is the son of Edward and Susan Ward of Macclenny and a 2011 graduate of Baker County High School. He is a junior majoring in Christian studies.

Foreclosure on ex-dairy, sale of 168 acres set for July 22

A 168-acre tract west of Glen St. Mary that was Baker County’s last operating dairy farm until a year ago goes on the auction block next month.

A final judgement for foreclosure was entered in May against D&D Dairy Inc. and the judge set a sale date for 11 am on July 22. The plaintiffs in the foreclosure action are Thomas J. (Tom) Adams of Glen and the trust of his late wife Bobbie R. Adams.

Bobby and Stephanie Schlemlein of Clay Hill, FL are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of daughter Keli to Charlie M. Burnett of Glen St. Mary.
The groom is the son of Artie and Martha Burnett of Glen.
The wedding will take place at 6 pm on June 29, 2013 at Heritage Park in Macclenny. Family and friends are invited (bring a lawn chair).
The couple will honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, TN and live in Gainesville.

Says ‘ex’ violated order by texting her

A criminal complaint was filed on June 17 alleging a Middleburg man violated a court order by texting his estranged wife, who lives in north Macclenny, on June 12.
