Karen Bracewell a native of Moniac

Karen Bracewell, 77, of Jacksonville died on Sunday, March 31 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Moniac, Georgia and resided in Jacksonville for over 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Canadir and Pearl Burnsed Canaday, and was a machine operator with Kraft Paper Company in Yulee for many years. She was a member of the Moniac Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband H. C. Bracewell of Jacksonville; daughters Diane (Don) Wallace of Jacksonville and Sandra (Timmy) Canaday of Moniac; sons Michael (Cathy) Bracewell of Baldwin and Keith (Janet) Bracewell of Jacksonville; sister Irene Taylor of Moniac; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday, April 3 at her church with Rev. Fred Raulerson, pastor of Pine Level Church, officiating. Interment will be in Canaday Cemetery in Moniac. Guerry Funeral Home of Macclenny is in charge of arrangements.
