Mr. Lundquist of Glen St. Mary

David Leslie Lundquist, 85, of Glen St. Mary died on January 25, 2013. He was preceded in death by wife Inez and son David Leslie, Jr. and is survived by children Jan Lundquist and Dana (Jan) Lundquist of Glen St. Mary and Cindy (Roy) Coleman of Jacksonville; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 29 at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church in Macclenny.

Stacy Mosley dies January 25

Stacy Renee Mosley, 33, of Jacksonville died on January 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Jacksonville on September 24, 1979 to Lexie Mosley and the late Janet Patricia Roberson Mosley. Stacy was a loving and caring daughter, sister and friend, a person who welcomed you with open arms. She was a very giving person; if she had it to give, it was yours.

She loved fishing, camping, swimming and boating. She was an animal lover and loved her cats very much. Stacy was preceded in death by her mother Janet Patricia Roberson Mosley and her sister Michelle Mosley.

She is survived by sisters Karen (Darrell) Sumner of Jacksonville and Barbara (David) Lemons of Middleburg; brother Lee (Robin) Mosley of Jacksonville; grandmother Ramona Roberson of Jacksonville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thompson dies in W. Va.

Norman Lee Thompson, 65, of Macclenny died at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia on January 20, 2013 following an extended illness. He was born in Starke  to the late Charles Cooper Thompson and Lola Conway Combs and lived in Baker County all his life. Mr. Thompson was a US Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam. He gave his life to the Lord two years ago at Taylor Church.

He is survived by son Devin S. (Reina) Thompson of Macclenny; daughters Kayla and Myriam Thompson, both of West Virginia; eight grandchildren; sister Sheila Thompson Griner of Glen St. Mary; brother Stephen (Marsha) Thompson of Sanderson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 3 at Taylor Church with Rev. Mark Woods officiating. Guerry Funeral Home of Macclenny was in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Vardaman, 76, of Macclenny

Norma Jean Vardaman, 76, of Macclenny died on January 28, 2013 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Elizabeth, West Virginia on October 14, 1936 to the late George Archibald Bain and Edna Stella Evans Bain and was a resident of Macclenny since 1978 after moving from Tallahassee. She was a Christian woman who enjoyed crocheting, working on puzzles and plastic canvases.

She also enjoyed volunteering and helping others. Norma was once employed by the Council on Aging assisting with the home health care program. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed. She was preceded in death by her son Ray Hyman; brothers and sisters Lawson Bain, Virginia Wehrkamp, Deloris Patterson, Blanche Freeland, Juanita Howard and Betty Watkins; half-sisters Adelia Learned and Gladys Cutler.

Mrs. Vardaman is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, William George “Bill” Vardaman of Macclenny; children Bill (Amy) Hoelscher and Mary Lynn (Kevin) Meyer of Celina, OH, Sandy (Pat) Vardaman of Gainesville, Anita (Paul) Patterson of Jacksonville and Sharon (Kenny) Vardaman of Clearwater; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Glenola (Skeet) Eddy.

The funeral service will be held at a later date, and interment will be at South Prong Cemetery. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
