Mary Dyal, 74, funeral on Friday

Mary Christine Dyal, 74, of Hilliard died on November 11, 2012 at Acosta-Rua Center for Caring in Jacksonville. Mrs. Dyal was born in Jacksonville on April 20, 1938, and was predeceased by her husband James R. Dyal in 2006.

Survivors include children Kenneth Dyal, Steve (Becki) Dyal and Lisa (Robert) Jenkins;  grandchildren Kyle (Pam), Jonathon (Ashley), Bryce Jenkins and Brittany Johnson; great-grandchildren Braeden, Emma, Dallen, Jami, Mason and Marissa.

Martha Fisher of Macclenny dies

Martha D. Fisher, 86, of Macclenny died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Ms. Fisher was born in Illinois and moved to Macclenny from Michigan 22 years ago. She was a homemaker who loved crossword and jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Alan Fisher of Macclenny; son Carl (Gale) Vance of Birch Run, MI; daughter Marty (Steve) Arrant of Glen St. Mary; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service was held at 2 pm on November 10 at Forbes Funeral Home in Macclenny.

Vonnie Griffis, 69, of Sanderson dies

Vonnie Griffis, 69, of Sanderson died on November 11, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, with family by her side. She was born in Lake City on March 1, 1943 to the late Charles Franklin Russ and Ina Bell Douglas Murray. Vonnie had been a resident of Sanderson since 1965 after moving from Lake City. She was a member of Cuyler Baptist Church and retired from Griffis Timber Inc. as an office manager after 40 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed being surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Edward Russ.

Rosa Jones, 68, of Crescent City

Rosa Lee Rollins Jones, 68, of Crescent City, FL and formerly of Baker County, died peacefully on November 4, 2012. She was born on February 7, 1944 in Homerville, GA to Elven and Mamie Rollins and was one of 19 children. She attended Clinch County, GA schools and became a migrant worker and a homemaker. She was a Baptist who believed in the Lord.

Mrs. Jones is survived by children Martha (Thomas) Arnold, Wallace (Lolita) Mims and Eric (Tekeila) Baber; step-children Johnny Emanuel, Delois Jones and Hazel (Bernard) Wilson; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers Evalena Rollins, Issac (Audrian) Tisdale, Martha Brown, Eddie Mae (Billy) Lee, Tommy (Paris), Julius, James, Wade, Ronnie (Nitra) Rollins, Caroline McCrary, Mary (Henry) Crosby, Michelle, Michael, J. Lee, Catherine Belford, Charlene (Terry) Kier and Johnny Rollins; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
