Harriett Hicks, 91, of Macclenny died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and had resided in Port St. Lucie and Jacksonville before moving to Macclenny in 2009. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, painting and working with art. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by parents Jessie Davis Roberts and Hattie Lee Peery Roberts, husbands Richard Bruce Sinclair Sr. and Earl Wayne Hicks, and her son Col. Timothy A. Sinclair. She is survived by sons Richard B. (Fay) Sinclair of Macclenny and Stephen Wayne (Jeanita) Hicks of Nashville; brother James Roberts of Nashville; grandchildren Sean (Maria) Sinclair, Leslie (Greg) Obenschain, Mandy (Mauricio) Alvarez, Ashley (Chris) Pond, Richard Bruce Sinclair III, Abby Hicks, Katie (Patrick) Hagan, Lindsey (Sergio) Garcia and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hicks will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 6, in the chapel of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Local arrangements were by Guerry Funeal Home, Macclenny.
