Mrs. Higginbotham of Glen St. Mary

Mary “Mamie” Higginbotham, 83, of Glen St. Mary died August 5, 2012 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 15, 1929 to the late Charles Staier and Rose Pffier Staier. She has been a resident of Baker County since 1939 and was a member of Raiford Road Church. She enjoyed crafts, reading, cooking, yard selling, sewing and most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John David “J.D.” Higginbotham  Sr. of Glen St. Mary; children Sherilyn (Terry) Reynolds, John David “J.D.” (Kay) Higginbotham Jr., Richard “Ricky” Allen Higginbotham, all of Glen St. Mary; sister Ida Starling of Keystone Heights; grandchildren, Deedra (Ronnie) Dinkins, Becki (Jamie) Raulerson, John David “Davey” (Christina) Higginbotham III, Bryan (Jenna) Higginbotham and Richard “Ricky” Higginbotham Jr.; 13 great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Higginbotham was held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 8 at her church with pastors John A. Raulerson and Eddie Griffis officiating. Interment followed at Manntown Cemetery. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
