Lucille Conner, 82, of Taylor dies

Lucille Dinkins Conner, 82, of Sanderson died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital in Macclenny after a sudden illness. She was born in the Taylor community and lived there her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Leon and Marvin Taylor Dinkins, and a homemaker who enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Conner is survived by husband Virgil Conner of Sanderson; her children Betty Fay (Thomas) Dyal and Janet (Charlie) Easterday of Sanderson, Essie Mae (Jimmy) Thrift of Macclenny, Lawton (Charlene) Conner, Susie (George) Franks, Christean (Tom) Raley, Raymond (Tammy) Conner and Angie (Eddie) Williams, all of Glen St. Mary; sister Blanche Long of Providence, FL; 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Conner was held at 3 pm on July 29 at the Taylor Church with Rev. Shannon Conner of the Macclenny Church of God officiating. Interment was in Taylor Cemetery. Guerry Funeral Home of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
