Hector Osle, 62, a native of Cuba

Hector L. Osle, 62, of Glen St. Mary died August 5, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville. He was born in Havana, Cuba on December 17, 1949. Hector has been a resident of Glen St. Mary since 2003 after moving from Miami. He was employed in sales and customer services for many years at Interline Brands in Jacksonville.

Hector was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary where he was active in the men’s ministry and online ministry. He was an avid Miami Hurricane fan, loved telling jokes and  enjoyed watching the Food Network and Yard Crashers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Georgette D. Osle of Glen St. Mary; parents Josphine (Richard) Rodriguez of Miami; children Joe Gonzalez of Jacksonville, Melissa Marie Osle (Michael) Eccelstin of Charlotte, NC, Jealene Gonzalez of Macclenny and Hector Richard “Tico” Osle of Savannah; step-sister Gori Rodriguez of Miami; grandchildren Carlos, Thomas, Bryanna, Jonathan, Lurianna, Kailey and Eli.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm at his church with Pastor Randy Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary Building Fund, 9846 George Taber Blvd., Glen St. Mary, FL 32040. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
