Thelma Norman of Sanderson dies

Thelma W. Norman, 92, of Sanderson died on Friday, June 22, 2012. A lifelong resident of Baker County, Ms. Norman was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, shopping and listening to gospel music.

She is survived by her sons Daryl (Cheryl) Norman and Melvin (Joy) Norman of Glen St. Mary, Jerry (Zola) Norman of Sanderson, Auzzie Norman of Madison, Riley (Theresa) Norman and Reggie Norman, both of Middleburg, and Kelly (April) Norman of Baldwin; daughters Inez (Gerald) Bennett of Gainesville, Bernice (Bobby) Crawford of Glen St. Mary, and Jane (Leslie) Weathington of Sanderson; sisters Rosa Lee Rhoden of Baldwin and Mary Lee (Ray) Bennett of Gainesville; 150-plus grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her husband Carlias Norman; sons Wilbur Norman and Eric Norman; brothers Emory Wright and Albert Wright; sister Ella Wright. The funeral service was held 11 am Tuesday, June 26, at the First Baptist Church of Cuyler with Rev. Billy Worthington officiating. Burial will follow at Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary. Forbes Funeral Home of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
