Bullets finish in middle of pack at Fernandina meet

The Baker Bullets had some strong individual showings on Saturday, June 23, but finished second in a three-way meet at the McArthur Family YMCA in Fernandina Beach.

It is a significantly larger YMCA and thus is able to fill almost all the competition slots, while the Bullets had to pick and choose their events based on who they had to swim the event. They placed ahead of the Williams YMCA and behind the host squad.

Kelsey Crain was the top finisher for Baker in the 13-14 year old 100-yard freestyle with a fifth place time. Andrea Clark finished seventh and Logan Todd ninth.

Kyrie Holman and Alaina Crawford placed sixth and seventh in the 11-12 year old girls 100-yard freestyle.  Ethan Knight won the boys 11-12, 100-yard freestyle in 1:06:32. Dillon Ray and Josh Ossman placed seventh and eighth.

Addison Hill was fourth in the girls 9-10 100-yard freestyle while Braedon Knight won for the boys in 1:08:09. Landon Prevatt finished third in the same race. Cheyenne Croft was fifth in the 8 and under 50-yard freestyle.

Andrea Clark was second in the 13-14 100-yard butterfly and Kyrie Holman finished second in the 11-12 50-yard butterfly. Ethan Knight won for the boys and Chase Reynolds was third in the event. Dillon and Dalton Ray and Ossman finished fifth, sixth and seventh.

Hannah Peterson was third in the girls 9-10 50-yard butterfly and Will Wiggins was third for the boys. Hannah Johnston and Croft were third and fourth for the girls 7-8 25-yard butterfly. Daniel Westinghouse was third for the boys.

The Bullets team of Chase Reynolds, Ethan Knight, Braeden Knight and Landon Prevatt won the 200-yard medley relay. Matt Voytko, Dillon and Dalton Ray and Ossman were second in the boys 11-12 200 medley. For the 11-12 girls Loriann Bliss, Molly Waters, Kyrie Holman and Alaina Crawford brought home fourth.

Hannah Johnston, Caroline Cooper, Jara Weeks and Cheyenne Croft were second in the 7-8 100-yard medley. In the boys 7-8 medley relay Jesse Harter, Carson Shed, Daniel Westinghouse and Kyler Wilkerson brought home a strong third place finish.

Ethan Knight won the boys 11-12 50-yard breaststroke in 40.19. Alexandria Hill was fourth for the girls 9-10. Braeden Knight brought home first in breaststroke and Landon Prevatt finished third. Alexis Garner and Hannah Johnston were second and third in the girls 7-8 25-yard breaststroke. Daniel Westinghouse was third and Carson Shedd fourth for the boys. Jordyn Knight finished third in the girls 6 and under breaststroke.

Andrea Clark and Kelsea Crain were third and fourth in the 13-14 100-yard backstroke. Loriann Bliss was sixth for the Bullets in the 11-12 50-yard backstroke. Chase Reynolds was second for the boys.

Braedon Knight won the 9-10 boys 50-yard backstroke in 39.72 and Alexis Garner won for the 7-8 girls in the 25-yard backstroke in 28.12. Carson Shedd was second for the boys. Kyrie Holman was fourth in the 11-12 50-yard freestyle and Chase Reynolds was second for the boys. Hannah Peterson won the 9-10 50-freestyle for Baker in 37.69. Landon Prevatt was third for the boys. Hannah Johnston was second in the 7-8 25-yard freestyle. Daniel Westinghouse was fourth and Kyler Wilkerson fifth for the boys. Jordyn Knight was second in the girls 6 and under 25-yard freestyle.
