Robert Harvey, native of Baldwin

Robert Edward Harvey, 76, died May 19, 2012 in Jacksonville. He was born September 7, 1935 to James H. Harvey and Bertha Oliver Harvey of Baldwin, and was predeceased by brother James H. Harvey Jr. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Peggy Harvey; sisters Geraldine Davis and Betty Weaver, both of Macclenny; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Emma Miller of Cookville, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, John (Francine) Johns of Wartburg, Tenn.

Mr. Harvey served six years in the Army and was employed by Ryder Truck Lines for 36 years. He retired from Crowley Maritime Marine in 2006. He was a member of Terry Parker Baptist Church in Jacksonville. His hobbies included woodworking and lawn care, also spending time with his pet kitty “Boots.”

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on May 24 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
