Betty Yarbrough, 71, of Macclenny

Betty Jean Jones Yarbrough, 71, of Macclenny died May 12, 2012. She was born in Macclenny to the late Plummer Crews and Virgie Moore Crews on March 23, 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Macclenny and a member of Mt. Zion New Congregational Methodist Church. She loved to crochet, cook, bake, fish and spend time with her family. She attended church regularly and was an avid Gator, Atlanta Braves and NASCAR fan. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years J.W. Jones;  son James “Doodle” Jones and  brothers Arthur Lee Crews and Neil Crews.

Survivors include her loving husband Clayton Earl Yarbrough of Macclenny; children Doug (Lori) Jones of Macclenny, Vanessa (Kenny) Roberts of Glen St. Mary, Theresa Leonard of Baldwin and step-children Deborah (Rodney), Clayton Jr. (Donna), Norma Jean, Rebecca and Deedee; brothers Morris (Marie) Crews of St. George, GA, Richard (Sherry) Crews and J.C. Crews of Macclenny; sister Patsy Crews of Macclenny;  sister-in-law Sissie Crews of Macclenny; grandchildren Mindy, Kenneth, Tyler, Dustin, Erika, Jeffery, Jeremy Jason, Shalan and Clayton Walker and Kim and Jeremiah Combs; eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at her church on May 15  at 11 am with Pastor Tim Cheshire officiating. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
