Mrs. Williams, 85, of Moniac, GA

Daisybelle Thrift Williams, 85, of Moniac, GA died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Acosta-Rau Center for Caring in Jacksonville following a short illness. She was born in Moniac and lived there all of her life.

She was a sales clerk at the former Covin Five and Ten Store in Macclenny for many years and was a member of Moniac Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and having fellowship with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Lula Sands Thrift.

Survivors include husband of 67 years Melvin Williams of Moniac; son Randy (Irene) Williams of St. George; grandchildren Becky Adair and Stacy Guerrero of St. George; eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at 2 pm Tuesday, March 13 at her church with Rev. Tim Colvin officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Macclenny. Guerry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
